How to Create Instagram Reels for Your Clinic (Step by Step)

Step 1: Choose the format before you film

Ten formats work in aesthetics: expert answer, transformation reveal, satisfying process, myth vs fact, “what I'd never do”, day in the clinic, client reaction, treatment comparison, green-screen reaction, and menu drop. Pick one. Do not improvise.

Step 2: Write the hook first

Three seconds decide everything. “Most clinics get this wrong.” Then deliver on it within eight seconds — a hook that oversells trains people to scroll past your next one.

Step 3: Set up once

Window light or a ring light. Phone at chest height, propped, not handheld. Treatment room visible behind you. Clean background. Thirty seconds of setup saves an hour of reshoots.

Step 4: Film five in a row

Say five different hooks back to back without changing clothes. You now have five reels in ten minutes. This single habit is the difference between clinics that post reels and clinics that abandoned them.

Step 5: Add on-screen text

Most people watch with sound off. The message must carry silently. Big text, high contrast, top two-thirds of the frame so it isn't hidden by the caption.

Step 6: Choose sound correctly

Trending audio for behind-the-scenes and relatable content. Calm, cinematic sound for transformations. Your own voice for anything educational — voice builds trust, music only buys attention.

Step 7: Caption for search

Write the words patients would actually type: “lip filler aftercare”, not “pout perfection”. Captions are indexed now.

Step 8: Post and leave

Reply to comments in the first hour, then close the app. Watching the view count is not a marketing activity.
