Keyword Research Tutorial for Aesthetic Clinics
You already own the best keyword source: your DMs
Every question a patient sends you is a query someone else is typing into Google. Screenshot them for a week. That is your content calendar, handed to you free.
Step 1: List your money keywords
“[Treatment] + [city]”. “Botox prices [city]”. “Best medspa near me”. Low volume, extremely high intent. These belong on your treatment pages, not your blog.
Step 2: Harvest research keywords
Type your treatment into Google and read “People also ask”. Every one of those is a blog post that will rank, because Google has literally told you people ask it.
Step 3: Mine the review sites
Read the questions patients post on aesthetics review platforms. They use words no marketer would choose — and those are exactly the words that rank.
Step 4: Judge intent, not volume
“Skincare” has enormous volume and zero intent. “Does lip filler hurt” has modest volume and a patient two weeks from booking. Always take the second.
Step 5: One keyword, one page
Never write two articles targeting the same phrase — they compete with each other and Google weakens both. One page, one primary keyword, then link related articles to it.
Step 6: Place it, then stop
Page title, one heading, the first hundred words, and the image alt text. That is enough. Repetition beyond that is how a page starts looking spammy.
