Canva for Beginners: A MedSpa Setup Tutorial

Step 1: Build the Brand Kit (15 minutes, once)

Add your two brand colours as hex codes, upload your logo, and set a heading and body font. Every future design now restyles to your brand in two clicks instead of twenty.

Step 2: Create folders that match your pillars

Proof, Education, Authority, Connection, Action. When you sit down to post you open a pillar, not a wall of untitled designs.

Step 3: Open a template properly

Click the template link, and Canva creates your own editable copy. Never edit and share the original link — that is how a paid template ends up public.

Step 4: Swap the photo

Click the image, press delete, drag your own in. Keep photo style consistent — similar lighting and tones are what make a feed look professionally branded.

Step 5: Edit the text

Double-click to type. Do not add fonts. The template's pairing is deliberate; typing over the placeholders keeps everything balanced.

Step 6: Apply your colours

Select an element, tap the colour tile, choose your Brand Kit colour. Two clicks per element, and the whole design is yours.

Step 7: Export correctly

PNG for feed posts, at 1080x1350 portrait — it takes more screen space than square, which means more attention for free. MP4 for reels.

Step 8: Save it as your own template

Once you have customised a layout, save it. Your next before-and-after takes sixty seconds instead of fifteen minutes. That is the entire compounding effect of Canva, and most people never use it.
