How to Write a Blog Post That Ranks (Clinic Tutorial)
Step 1: Start with a question, not a topic
“How long does lip filler swelling last?” ranks. “Our thoughts on fillers” ranks for nothing. If nobody is typing it, nobody will find it.
Step 2: Answer in the first two sentences
Give the direct answer immediately. Google rewards it, and the patient trusts you for not making them scroll. The detail comes after.
Step 3: Structure with real headings
Use the sub-questions people actually ask as your headings. Short paragraphs. Plain language. If a nervous first-timer would understand it, so will Google.
Step 4: Say the uncomfortable thing
Prices, downtime, who is not a candidate, what can go wrong. This is what your competitors omit, which is exactly why it ranks and converts.
Step 5: Link internally
Link to two or three related articles you have already written, and link back from them. This is how Google decides you are an authority on a topic rather than a one-off.
Step 6: End with a soft invitation
Not a hard sell. “If you're weighing this up, our consultations are free and we'll tell you honestly if it isn't right for you.”
Step 7: Refresh annually
Update prices, add new photos, add the questions you have been asked since. An updated post outranks a brand-new one, because it has history.
Step 8: Be patient
Nothing ranks in week one. Most ranks at month three to six. The clinics that quit before then are the reason there is room for you.
