How to Edit Your MedSpa Templates in Canva (Even If You've Never Used It)

Canva is the reason you don't need a designer

If the word 'design' makes you nervous, Canva is about to become your favourite tool. It's free, it runs in your browser, and it turns a professional template into something you can customise in minutes — no software to install, no skills to learn first. If you can drag, click, and type, you can edit a template. Here's exactly how.

Opening your template the right way

When you buy a template, you get a link that opens in Canva. The single most important habit: always let Canva make your own copy when it prompts you. That keeps the original safe, so you can reuse it again and again. Think of the template as a master you never edit directly — you work on copies, forever.

Swapping in your own text

Double-click any text to select it, then type. That's the whole trick. Keep the font and size the designer chose — they're there for a reason — and just change the words to your treatment, your price, your offer. If text turns out longer than the space, nudge the size down a point or two rather than cramming it in.

Changing colours to match your brand

Click an element, then the colour tile in the toolbar. If you have brand colours, add their hex codes once and Canva remembers them. Change colours in small doses — a good template already has a balanced palette, so recolouring everything usually makes it worse. Adjust the accent, leave the structure.

Dropping in your own photos

Upload your before-and-afters or clinic photos in the Uploads tab, then drag one straight onto a photo frame in the template — it snaps into place, cropped to fit. This is how a generic template becomes unmistakably yours: your work, your space, your results, inside a professional layout.

Exporting so it actually looks good
