How to Edit Canva Templates Like a Pro (Beginner Guide)

Step 1: Open Your Template Link

After checkout you receive a PDF with your template links. Click any link and Canva opens the design as your own editable copy — nothing to install, and the free Canva plan is enough.

Step 2: Swap the Photos

Click a photo, hit delete, and drag in your own client photos or use Canva’s stock library. Pro tip: keep your photo style consistent — similar lighting and tones make your whole feed look professionally branded.

Step 3: Make the Text Yours

Double-click any text to edit prices, treatment names, and offers. Keep to two fonts maximum — the templates are already paired for you, so simply typing over the placeholders keeps everything balanced.

Step 4: Apply Your Brand Colors

Select an element, tap the color tile, and paste your hex code. With Canva’s “Brand Kit” you can save your palette once and restyle any template in seconds.

Step 5: Download & Post

Export as PNG for feed posts or MP4 for animated reels, then schedule with Canva’s free planner. Ten minutes of editing, a full week of content — that’s the whole workflow.
