Canva Design Tips for Beauty Brands

Constraint is what makes design look expensive

Amateur design adds. Premium design removes. Every rule below is a form of removing.

Two fonts. Forever.

One display font for headings, one clean sans for body. Set them once in your Brand Kit and never deviate. Fourteen fonts is the fastest way to look like a flyer.

Two colours, plus black and white

Your brand colour, one accent, and neutrals. A restricted palette repeated across every post is precisely what makes a feed recognisable mid-scroll.

Respect the white space

The instinct is to fill the canvas. Resist it. Empty space signals confidence; crowding signals a sale.

One message per graphic

If you need to say three things, make three slides. A post that says everything says nothing.

Photos: consistent, not perfect

Same lighting, same angles, same tones. Consistency across mediocre photos beats brilliance across inconsistent ones — especially for before-and-afters, where inconsistency reads as manipulation.

Then stop redesigning

Pick a template system and reuse it. The clinics with the most cohesive feeds are not the most creative — they are the most disciplined.
